Homework
Monday to Thursday night.
It is our policy to encourage children to do some homework or preparation of school work on Monday to Thursday nights to assist learning. Read to, or have your children read to you. Listen to, and talk to your children, and look at their homework. Homework will not exceed 30 minutes each night.
Specific activities may include home readers, library books, mathematics tables, spelling lists, etc, with some research into science/social studies, etc. for older children. Homework should not be a burden to either the child or parents, but if the child is unable to do his or her set homework or task, then a short note of explanation or a telephone call to the school will be appreciated.
It is recommended that you arrange for your child/children to become a member/members of the nearest public library.
